"We used the travellers inn as we wanted to see the grisdale tarn and we needed to a room to stay after the sight. They allowed us to store our luggage at the inn as our check in was at 3pm. The rooms were clean and it overlooked a farm area with lots of sheep. The room had an aesthetic look and there was tea satchets we could have as well. The staff were kind and wonderful. The rooms had the britain charm you see in old english movies. If you love sheeps, kind people, good food and 80's british aesthetics- then this place is just for you. We loved our stay here."

"Söt plats med utsikt över dalen från rummet, champagne eftermiddagste var inte den bästa...ingen sandwich...för många kakor med skorna torr...förmodligen fryst.Maten var okej !!! varm mat.. Men frukost var förskräcklig hade mycket bättre i Premier Inns.Personalen var mycket uppmärksam och välkomnande, allmän förståelse för att det är vinter i sjöarna det var trevligt."

Lake View Country House

"We stayed at Lake View for 1 night on 23rd March, after we had taken part in a sports event in Grasmere. We asked to have the room earlier than the usual check in time as we wanted to shower and warm up after the event. Although Lake View couldn't guarantee early access, the keys were there around 12.30pm which was perfect. We stayed in 'Treetop' which was absolutely lovely. He room is finished to a high standard with classic decor and high quality fixtures and fittings. The bedding was lovely and soft and little touches like fresh ground coffee with a cafetiere and hot chocolate make a big difference. The bathroom was large with a lovely oval corner bath (note; there is no shower in this room but that is the only thing I would add, oh and the addition of a full length mirror would also be helpful). Having said that, still a 5 star stay. Would highly recommend! 👍"

"Hade en trevlig vistelse vi var i rummet1 vackert rum kung storlek säng med vacker balkong, stort badrum med bad och dusch, mycket bekväm hade allt vi behövde för vår vistelse, balkong var en bonus vi satt ut och hade vår morgonkaffe även i oktober. Frukost var söt eftersom vi är personalen, bara kritik var frukosttid 8am till 9am vi kände att den borde utvidgas till 9.30 10am detta inte satte oss ur att vi skulle älska att stanna igen och rekommendera."
