"Great location, quiet surrounding. The executive suite comes with a mini bar with drinks and snacks, as well as Heineken beer and wine. Also, the restaurant at the hotel is beautiful! Also delicious! We had dinner twice in a row and both were delicious and the service was very friendly. There is a park opposite the hotel, which is suitable for children to play."

"A wonderful boutique hotel in a quiet location, yet within walking distance of the historic center and train station. Freshly renovated, the rooms are clean and modernly designed. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff at reception and in the restaurant at breakfast were friendly and helpful. "Check-in and welcome were very friendly. They mentioned there was a payment issue, but we received the keys and were immediately allowed to go to our room. They said we'd take care of the rest later. In the end, everything went well. I even have dietary requirements for breakfast, and they weren't difficult to accommodate. I received a custom-made roll, salmon, brie, etc. Too much to list, and it was very tasty and well-prepared. My compliments on that."

"We are two older women who had single rooms and stayed for 3 nights in September 2025. It's an awful hotel with disgusting rooms and very uncomfortable beds with musty smelling bedding. It's old and very much in need of refurbishing. There was pigeon poop on the curtain. It looked like black mold on the walls. It had sticky floors and a bad bathroom with double swinging doors that makes in and out of the bathroom difficult. There's no front desk for any help and very irregular staffing. No one is there after 10 at night or in the morning. We were locked in the morning we needed to leave for the airport. They knew we were leaving at 8 but due to staffing issues and no ones in charge no one was there at 8. Breakfast starts at 8 but no one came. It was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It's a great location right on the main square in Harlem so its a real shame that it's so abhorrent. It was just an awful experience. Since we prepaid we couldn't leave and go elsewhere or we definately would have. I have honestly never stayed in such a disgusting hotel. Do not book."

"I stayed here with a friend for 3 nights. We had 2 single rooms on the second floor, 22 and 24. We had a really good experience. The staff were warm and friendly and seemed to be a good team ( thanks particularly to Anna). The hotel was warm and the rooms were spotless and comfortable. Each room was plainly furnished and had tea making facilities, toiletries, hairdryer and even a box of tissues. This was more than expected for the price. The bathrooms are compact but have all you would expect. If you are a larger person, you may struggle. Some reviews had mentioned noise at this hotel. We stayed midweek and had rooms facing the back of the hotel. We had no trouble at all with noise despite the whole GroteMarkt hosting a fun fair during our stay! In fact, we were astonished to see so many fellow guests at breakfast as the hotel was so quiet at night! Others have mentioned the excellent breakfast but I will add that if you are gluten free and ask, the staff will bake gluten free rolls for you at breakfast and they were delicious. We also ate dinner at the Vester restaurant twice and it was sooo good! Overall we would certainly return here. Haarlem is delightful and we enjoyed the central position of the hotel."
