"Breakfast was incredible - absolute highlight of the trip! Sat on the beach with the best view for brekkie! A fair way out from town but a beautiful stretch of beach! One of the nicest beach areas we saw and we walked along this section of the island a few times in our holiday there - excellent relaxing music & a good atmosphere with no children. Good & friendly service, nice and clean room, only negative was we struggled to find the entrance and had to wait for staff to check in. If you get rain be aware the roads get fairly waterlogged but you can just about navigate this."

"The room was quite large, with a living area with a sofa, a separate bedroom, and a fairly spacious bathroom. Holbox isn't a very big town, so you're close to everything from this hotel, but it's not in the main bar and restaurant area, and it's about a 5-minute walk to the beach. It was a bit dark walking back to the hotel at night. So, if you're looking for peace and quiet at a good price, it's quite good."

"El Pueblito is a Hotel situated in the Centre of Holbox. Its rooms have been thoughtfully designed inside with all the basics. The doors lead directly onto the Hotels outside walkway and with glass doors if you don’t keep the curtains closed everyone can see into your room, this makes the room very dark. Absolutely forget the breakfast, I would strongly advise booking this hotel without breakfast. On one day they had run out and the other days it was just a bit of Bimbo bread with jam. You could have eggs but they were slow and the waiters at breakfast were not very helpful."

"Actually a nice place to stay in Holbox. The apartment we had was the biggest and perhaps the best on the 3rd floor but had lots of defects. No pictures with minimal kitchen equipment, 2 pots, a hidden frying pan, 2 pieces of cutlery of the worst quality. 2 rusty hotplates, 0.5 litres of rancid oil, completely rusty without salt, etc. Broken marble slab in the bathroom, protruding seals on the terrace, 1 defective lounger that was only repaired after the 3rd complaint on our 3rd day. 2 construction sites next door, the employees live in one of them on the weekend and make noise from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., and loud music at night and on the weekend. No reduction in price after the complaint, only cleaned once on the 3rd day of a 7-day stay. In the region there are lots of big water holes on all the streets with endless mosquitoes. You live in a construction site region that will only be developed in the next few years. It is also difficult to get to the beach without getting wet feet or sinking into swamp holes!!! And then an arrogant property management that is never present!!!!"

"Casa del Viento by ÓOL – A Major Letdown Compared to Our First Stay Wow — what a complete downturn from our last visit to Holbox. The first time we stayed at Hotel Paraiso, we truly felt like we were in paradise. This time, we chose Casa del Viento by ÓOL, and unfortunately, it was a disappointment. There was nowhere to hang our clothes, not a single chair in the room, and the beds were uncomfortably small. The idea of cleanliness seemed to rely solely on the chemical smell they sprayed — but in reality, the room was dusty and full of bugs. We killed at least 35 insects the first night just to be able to sleep. The noise level was insane — loud music and shouting until 2 AM, and then the chaos started again at 6 AM. Forget about rest. The front desk staff was indifferent, primarily or outright rude, except for Sofia, who was the only helpful and polite person we encountered. She greeted guests with warmth and seemed to care — the rest, unfortunately, did not. What’s frustrating is that the problems are so easily fixable — buy a chair for each room, add a small desk, install a few hangers, and actually clean the place properly. Instead, the management seems completely uninterested in improving the guest experience. This hotel felt like a cheap nomad hostel dressed up with boutique pricing, and I would never stay here again. There’s no effort, no comfort, and no hospitality — just noise, dust, bugs, and bad vibes. Choose somewhere else."

"Really pretty hotel in a quieter area of Holbox but still close to everything. I just felt so comfortable and had a great sleep , Breakfast was included and was lovely. The staff were so helpful . We were able to check in early and we were able to leave our bags at reception and use their facilities on our checkout too . Which I was really grateful for in the heat."
