"I am so disappointed to be writing this, but the hotel has lost its warming atmosphere (the day I visited anyway) I was meeting family for coffee on the terrace, upon entering the reception the doors where shut making the hotel seem closed off and unwelcoming. The doors always used to be open where you could be seen and greeted warmly by staff. As I entered the bar area the first thing my eye caught was at 10am the bar area shutters where still down and lights off, rather uninviting. The carpet also in the area had definitely not been hoovered for a couple days, crumbs, mud and hair where present and looked messy. Lovely waitress came out to the terrace and said when ready to order come to the bar, so i did, the bar was still closed at 10.30 and no one in sight so went to the front desk, I could hear staff talking behind the closed doors to the office. Rang bell twice before anyone came (despite knowing they were right there), once a staff member (older blond lady) came out I asked to order and she said she will send someone over to take our order then shut the doors again... had our order taken by a lovely lady with blue hair, once orders arrived they where lovely, I then wanted to pay 11.30am and the bar area was still shut up and still no lighting. Found a waitress and paid for our coffees, I paid at the side of a shut up bar with no lights on, definitely not the welcoming atmosphere this place used to have in previous years. No fault to the staff but definitely a lack of attention to detail and managerial supervison. Due to all this I decided we weren't coming back for dinner as originally planned by family and went to the Ty Glyn instead, which is a shame for yourselves as I have happily eaten and supported there in the past. I hope these oversight are looked into and sorted."

"A wonderful stay. Very warm welcome. Beautiful and very interesting setting throughout. Bedroom very comfortable and quiet. Superb breakfast choice especially Welsh breakfast with laverbread and cockles. Will definitely return!"

"Det var en underbar plats för mig och min fru aldrig har klämt förr så det var en ny upplevelse för oss så visste inte vad vi skulle förvänta oss.När vi kom först var vi välkomna av Chris och Carol var en vacker varm välkomst. De visade oss till boendet vi var i gräsutsikten var en fantastisk utsikt över att titta på det omgivande området som var andfådd. Då gick vi in i hytten bilden gjorde det inte rättvisa detaljerna var vackert ljusen och möblerna och alla de små saker som pussel och böcker det fanns en hel del karaktär och tanken hade gått in i allt. Allt var också så rent och väl underhållet.Efter att vi hade avpackat gick vi in i varmt röret som var varmt vid ankomsten och såg solen gå ner var det magiskt.Hade dusch efter att det fanns tillräckligt med tryck i duschen och var tillräckligt varmt. Sen tillbringade resten av natten med eld.Bedden var bekväm och värmen från loggbrännaren höll oss varma trots att natten hade tre fantastiska nätter här. Högt rekommenderade ursprungligen att gå bort från stressen från arbetet och gick bort och kände sig avslappnad.Tack igen Carol och Chris var trevliga att träffa er båda och kan inte vänta tills de kommer tillbaka."
