"Two nights' stay: the first, perfect. The second, a complete disaster. Upon returning, our room was the only one without electricity. They moved us at 11:00 PM to what they called an "upgrade," although in reality we went from a bright room on the first floor to one on the ground floor, with no windows in the bathroom and supposed lake views that meant giving up all privacy. But the worst was yet to come... At night, there was noise and vibrations from the music. When we called reception, they informed us, quite matter-of-factly, that it was coming from the nightclub. When we naively asked if anything could be done (call the police, for example), the response was even better: they weren't going to do anything because the nightclub has been there for 50 years, and anyone bothered by it simply waits until it closes, around 2:30 AM. A practical solution... if you don't intend to sleep. Perhaps someone should have considered that, if a nightclub has been operating for half a century, building a hotel right next door—or at least clearly warning guests—might be relevant. But it seems they didn't care… We filed a complaint, and in response, management chose to avoid any direct contact and tried to compensate with a bottle of cava. A curious gesture, especially when you're traveling by plane and have no intention (or possibility) of bringing it with you. To be fair, both the afternoon receptionist and the person in charge of breakfast were lovely and professional. In short, be aware that there's a nightclub, and it looks like it will be around for another 50 years."
