"We had a fantastic time at the Grand Universe Hotel in Lucca. It is located right in the middle of the old city, surrounded by plazas and cathedrals. There was an opera show right around the corner that was just beautiful. The staff are so friendly and helpful, we immediately felt at home. The room was comfortable and very clean. Like all rooms in Italy, it  is a bit compact but they make amazing use of the space. The breakfast was delicious and had a huge variety of delicious offerings. The rooftop bar is small but has a beautiful view. We loved our stay here and are looking forward to returning."

"Platsen själv är ungefär 20 minuters promenad från stationen och ungefär 8 minuter till centrum som är perfekt och mycket kapabel.Checken in var mycket smidig och snabb och damen vid receptionen var vacker.Hon visade oss till vårt rum. När vi fick det finns det faciliteter som handdukar och en ketel etc. Det är en trevlig touch bredvid kaffe och te.TV fungerade inte och rummet var lite mörkt, men rummen själva var mycket modern och ren. Om jag kunde plocka på ett par saker skulle det vara det finns luftkon dock det är inte mycket kraftfullt att lämna rummet ganska varmt och det faktum att det absolut ingen på reception före 3 eller efter 7:00 gör saker bara lite svårt som du inte är kan släppa väskor om du anländer tidigt.Men det är ett vackert vänligt hotell i ett underbart och skulle definitivt stanna igen."

"Moder-dotter-veckans resa.Snyggt litet boutiquehotell med ren modern möbler och underbart personal.Rummet var rymligt med hög kvalitet toaletter. Gratis vatten i rummet saknades men det fanns en pitcher med vatten och gratis cantucci-kocker vid alla tillfällen.Frukost var underbar och platsen inne i stadsmuren var perfekt."

"Stor plats med enkel tillgång till den gamla stan och närliggande attraktioner.Ren, bekväma rum och mycket hjälpsam personal gjort för en trevlig vistelse."

Lucca Charm

"We could not fault Lucca charm in any way, the location was amazing, right in the town but quiet and peaceful in our room. Although basic we had everything we needed and it was clean and tidy with housekeeping every day. No restaurant but we got vouchers for coffee & pastry every morning at buralli pastry shop right around the corner,the owner, Matteo came to see us to check all was ok. And explained it was a "a work in progress " as he was the new owner We would definitely stay here again"

"Constenza and her mother were really wonderful hosts! Private parking space provided (safe within the compound) It used to be a nunnery , with a sprawling space inside. Great breakfast provided , and nice decor ! Quiet and memorable , perfect within walking distance of 10 minutes to the old town of Lucca"

"Bra läge, tillgång med gamla skolnycklar (inte nödvändigtvis en dålig sak) badrum att få lite gammalt, duschhuvud kunde göra med en ren.Bädden är vår men inte mycket stödjande.Pilarna var bra.Allmänt bra för priset.Tack."

"What can I say. From the moment I booked I had great communication with Celeste the owner. Instructions to get into the property with our car were excellent, and get into our 2 rooms excellent as well. The BB is just fantastic. You can walk to Lucca without need to take the car and suffer. You can get parking outside ( there were spots available for free) but we decided to park in their garage. Breakfast was great too. Property is super clean, tidy and it feels like home. If Lucca is your destination THIS should be the place you stay."

"Vi stannade i två nätter för att utforska Lucca, innan vi flyger hem från Pisa flygplats.Villans yttre utseende verkar konstnärligt nytt stil, men inredningen har moderniserats grundligt. Det har en mycket trevlig trädgård med bekväma möbler och några solrum.Villan är nära den lokala fotbollsplatsen, tio minuters promenad från de berömda stadsmurarna.Idealplats. Det finns begränsad parkering (€10 per dag), men några av gatorna i närheten verkar också tillåta parkering.Frukost i (mycket) lilla matsal var förvånansvärt bra."
