"Besökande vänner i byn och så glada bokade de oss i The Quarrymans Rest.Vänlig och enkel bok in och trevligt överraskad på det rymliga och rena rumet.Allt gällde med te, kaffe, ketel och mjölk försörjda och en vacker utsikt. Hade en målning vid ankomsten och satt utanför med mycket välkomnande lokalbefolkningar.Tillbaka efter en natt och satt inne.Som tidigare recensioner har sagt, är detta ett riktigt pub med mycket vänlig, hårt arbetande landsman.Det finns även pub katten Denzil. På morgonen hade vi en trevlig frisk frukost och lämnade önskan att vi kunde ha stannat längre."

"Just spent 3 days visiting friends in Bampton and we stayed at Bridge House! With the most welcoming of owners! Nothing was too much trouble, good food and a great room with a huge en-suite. The whole place was spotless superbly decorated and tastefully furnished we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it."

Bampton Townhouse ★★

"Great marketing and a very comfortable bed but very far from luxurious! We were in the biggest room with nowhere to put our clothes. I’ m 5ft 6” and could barely reach the cost pegs which were too large for my coats; there was nowhere else to hang up clothes and the couple of tiny drawers were big enough for underwear only. Cases had to be opened on the floor. Coffee/tea but no milk were available in the kitchen downstairs (I got dressed again and went to the Spar opposite for milk). A tiny plastic box in the bathroom held the very mean selection of shampoo etc. ( only enough shampoo for one and a couple of sample type sachets of bath oil). Are 2018 magazines sufficiently old to be considered retro? That’s the reading material in the room. Perhaps the owner has not noticed the damp in the wall beside the large mirror. This is an AirB&B at best, certainly not a hotel."

"Having read a couple of reviews on TripAdvisor I agree that the owner is rude. We had lunch and I jokingly that I said I would talk to Captain, the parrot and the owner looked at me in a stern manner and asked me TWICE if I was serious. Golly, some people cannot take a joke and he was really angry and said ‘wait until it’s on the other foot’ whatever that meant. I was really surprised at his attitude and certainly has put us off ever going there again for lunch. Apparently he told my husband that they’ve had trouble with customers being rude to staff. And he said that I as joking. It used to be lovely and years ago we frequented it often but never shall I set foot in the place again."

"Söndagsmiddag i denna vackra pub vid floden.Personal vänlig men inte väl informerad.Kunde inte berätta priset på rosten!!Lunchen var trevlig men enorm. Tyvärr sa vi inte att det fanns två storlekar av rost att välja från eftersom vi definitivt skulle ha valt den mindre.Matrummet är vackert dekorerat utom att låta dåligt ned av skylten.Yuk."

"From the minute we arrived Sarah and her staff made us feel so welcome. We had booked the Castle Room - Bridal Suite (all three floors!) The first floor has some AMAZING artifacts and pictures a beautiful original staircase leads to the second floor and our FANTASTIC Tudor bedroom and bridal bathroom suite, with roll top bath. Finally onto the third floor and the GRAND Great Hall with lovely original fireplaces and more. The grounds and gardens are PICTURESQUE. Thank you Sarah for making our Wedding day so memorable."
