"Vi hade väntat på att se hotellet efter renoveringen och vi var inte besvikna.Det har gjorts till en mycket hög standard.Receptionen är mycket fyllig och check-in var snabb och vänlig med ett välkomment glas kava. Rummen är nu mycket moderna och ljusa med modern möbler och bra lagringsutrymme, mycket ren, och fortfarande samma fantastiska utsikter från balkongen.Vi trodde att mat var läckra.Det fanns massor att välja från frukost och middag. Det yttre middagsområdet är mycket trevligare nu.Det har utökats och har värmeapparater som var bra på de kallare nätterna.Personalen var alla vänliga och vi kände att de behandlade alla nationaliteter likadant. Vi hörde att hissen var ur ordningen veckan innan vi stannade.Det var fortfarande ganska långsamt så vi gick upp och ner trappan.Vårt rum var på femte våningen så det hjälpte till att avaktivera några av de extra kalorier vi hade konsumerat! Calypso är ett av våra favorithotell.Vi älskar särskilt platsen bredvid den vackra stranden.Vi hade en avkopplande semester och skulle vilja återvända nästa år."

"The location of hotel appeals to us both we both enjoy cycling, running and walking around this area. This was our second visit and we were amazed at all the staff still there and the fact they remained happy in their employment. The management are always available for contact should you have any issues and they will correct any problems you may incur. I would advise to take the premium upgrade to experience breakfast on the outside deck which on a sunny sunrise morning definitely takes some beating. The buffets served over the festive period on the special evenings were delightful and presented in such a professional manor I have a food allergy and all my no go areas were well documented and no doubts were assured for me to eat without concern. Food staff location will always be a big draw for this boutique venue to be successful staff to mention Sarah, Susan, Juan, Hassan, Andreas, Roseann,housemaids, chefs and kitchen staff. We enjoyed seeing you all again and I apologise if I’ve missed any off the list. Good luck for 2025 keep up the amazing work you all put into to daily routines. Also returning guests year on year is a very positive statement and we will definitely return again and truly appreciate your hospitality given over Christmas & New Year’s."

"På kristallrestaurangen bad jag om en liter sangria.De sa att det inte fanns tillgängligt även om baren bara var steg bort. Jag beställde samma i Riu Gran Canaria kristallrestaurang och de gick till baren för att uppfylla min begäran (stor service) I bufférestaurangen var alla tjejer och de flesta tjejer extremt hårt arbetade och vänliga. Ett par gäster var inte till den nödvändiga standarden eller mycket vänliga. "

"We have been each year since 2023 and every time has got worse. We came this year with our young son who is 10 months old and booked a higher room (junior suite with sea and pool view) so we could see the evening entertainment which was now moved inside. We were not told of this as in previous years (sept) the entertainment has been outside. We were told it’s cos it’s now cold but the temperature was 35 degrees. Food is never not and it’s much of the same every day with a recycled dish of what was served at lunch now served for dinner. Reception messed up check in. Not enough staff and most staff we miserable. Transfer time is nearly 2 hours so think of this before booking as Jandia is far away from the airport! The guest manager Marina is normally very friendly and approachable, I felt this year nobody really seemed to care. The cleanliness we have never had an issue with, always clean and towels changed and toilet paper daily. Water changed daily in our room. Entertainment team are always lovely, but it’s year there didn’t seem to be any get up and go. No usual trying to include everyone. No games for the kids. Pool bar closes at 6pm along with the pool. Getting a sunbed was easy, some of the lifeguards are great, others are more interested in smoking down the side of the building. I hate writing a negative review, as I said it’s a beautiful place and a nice hotel but it being badly managed and the vibe is off this time. Something has changed and we can’t decide what it is."

"6 of is stayed for 6 nights all inclusive all different age ranges Firstly the transfer said 1 hour 20 when we booked it was 2 and a half hours. We arrived late but made it time for some food Check in was quick and easy . You pay for fan controller and safety deposit boxes and 1 euro for each cup that is returned when you leave . The location is perfect right by the strip of shops bars and restaurants and right near the beautiful beach . One of the best beaches iv ever seen. The rooms were modern and clean .no kettle in room luckily we brought one with us . The pool is small but doesn't get over crowded so was fine . Place was clean always see the site guys out early cleaning the pool area . The staff were friendly the lady like guard is like a prison officer patrolling waiting to tell you off . No floats or balls in pool . For what we paid this is a nice place but the big thing that let's it down is the food and lack of evening entertainment. The food was hard to make a meal up, its a bit random only about 4 options very repetitive and if you have kids or pickie eaters then this definitely wont work for you its all cheap cuts of meat or fish . We struggled ended up eating out every other night as couldn't bare eating in there . My son also had a pickle worm Crawling in his cucumber that put us all right off .it said online they have a snack bar at pool but this was a trolly for nd hour with stale bread cheese ham and rotten fruit thats it . They had a singer twice while there but the other nights nothing some night not even any music on so found evenings bit boring. We stayed during a heat wave and with no airconditiong it was really hard to sleep . I think this is a nice place nice location you get what you pay for but id expect better on the food . But alough we had to spend money to eat out we did really enjoy our stay we visited the zoo that was really good . We went Costa calma market got some bargains all the fake designer bits . Best thing was how beautiful the beach is and how clear the sea was ."

"När vi anlände till hotellet fick vi ett mycket trevligt, modernt hotellrum.Balkonen var mycket rymlig och utsikten över stranden var perfekt.Maten var bara okej. Om du har varit till en Riu 5-stjärna, kommer du definitivt att kunna berätta skillnaden.Det var en mycket långsam hiss och du kunde vänta flera minuter på en.Så om du bokar, välj inte en hög våning. Jag skulle säga 90%+ av kunderna är tyska och i vissa fall kunde personalen tala tyska och inte engelska.Generellt var det mycket trevligt att stanna och när vädret är bra, finns det mycket lite att klaga på."

"Vi stannade nyligen på IFA Altamarena Hotel som en familj med en toddler och hade en riktigt trevlig semester.Den största positiva är definitivt platsen. Hotellet är bara några minuters promenad från stranden, som är absolut vacker med mjuk sand och massor av utrymme.Det gjorde det verkligen lätt att gå tillbaka och ut under dagen med ett ung barn. Den uppvärmda poolen var ytterligare en framträdande plats för oss, särskilt på morgonen innan dagen var helt uppvärmd.Vår son njöt verkligen av de pooler som var öppna under vår vistelse, och underhållningspersonalen var lysande med barn. Mini-disken på kvällarna blev en av semesterens högtmärken för honom och skapade en vacker familjeatmosfär runt hotellet.Hotellet självt var generellt rent och bekvämt, och vi fann att det var en avslappnad bas för att utforska Jandía. Det finns också butiker, barer och platser att gå nära som gjorde området bekvämt utan att vara för upptagen.Den enda verkliga nedgången för oss var mat. Även om det alltid fanns något att äta, fann vi buffet ganska upprepande under veckan och inte lika varierande eller smakfullt som andra all-inklusive hotell vi har varit i tidigare. Dessutom var den djupaste poolen stängd för renovering under vår vistelse, vilket var lite besviket, även om det inte påverkade vår son s njutning eftersom de andra poolerna förblev öppna. Generellt sett rekommenderar vi fortfarande hotellet, särskilt för familjer med unga barn eller någon som vill ha en stor strandplats och vänligt underhållningsteam.Om mattilbudet förbättrades något, skulle vi lyckligtvis återvända."

" Exceptionell service Vår vistelse var utan tvekan personalen.Varje lagmedlem vi träffade var otroligt vänlig, hårt arbetande och alltid redo att hjälpa med ett äkta leende, vilket gjorde oss välkomna från det ögonblick vi anlände. Rumliga och spotless boende Vi var mycket imponerade av vårt rum.Det var exceptionellt rent och mycket mer rymligt än vi förväntade oss, vilket ger en perfekt, bekväm utflykt efter en dag i solen. Prime Location and Amenities Hotellets position är oslagbar, perched on a rocky outcrop with breathtaking panoramic views of the golden Jandia beach. Att ha direkt strandanslutning och att bara vara en kort promenad från den charmiga gamla staden Morro Jable gjorde våra dagliga utflykter så bekväma.Vi njöt också grundligt av utomhuspoolen med utsikt över havet. Utmärkt gastronomi Maten på resorten var verkligen exceptionell. Från den omfattande morgon- och kvällsbuffet med färska live-kökstationer till de utmärkta valen i Krystal fusionsrestaurangen var varje måltid läckra, varm och erbjudade en fantastisk mängd olika måltider. Vad vi älskade det bästa (och det minsta) bästa: kombinationen av varm gästfrihet från personalen, den mycket bekväma av de stora och rena rummen, och de fantastiska, högkvalitativa ätningsalternativ. Om vi måste nämna ett mindre område för förbättring, är gymmet på den mindre sidan med ett begränsat urval av utrustning.Även om det tjänar till en grundläggande träning är det lite blygsamt jämfört med den höga standarden för resten av resortens anläggningar. Det var en underbar upplevelse, och vi skulle rekommendera det mycket för alla som letar efter en avkopplande och högkvalitativ väg!"

"Lovely hotel - the pictures really don’t do it justice. We booked a sea view room A330- bed was really comfy and we slept really well all week, the hotel is quiet at night and you can hear the waves crashing down at the beach. Food was lovely, they made a lot of fresh sea food and lovely fruits- there was always something for everyone. The staff are kind, polite and courteous & speak good English. The entertainment team are awesome 🙌🏽 And the cleaning ladies do great job. Moro Jabel it’s self is a wonderful, picturesque town with a real old town feel and one of the most stunning stretches of beach I’ve ever seen! It’s 5 stars from me all round! Thankyou everyone for a wonderful week ❤️"

"Good morning, I wanted to comment on my terrible experience in this complex. I arrived and there was no reception service because they were there until 3:00 p.m., the cleaner was looking everywhere for my key, when they found the key and I went to the apartment it was a real oven, the heat in there was horrible. The TV didn't work and on Saturday there was no one there, on Sunday they had a day off, so there was no one there either, on Monday I went to reception and the technician couldn't come until 4:00 p.m. When he went he removed or didn't tune in many channels, the remote control had no batteries, I had to go buy them myself. The day I arrived at night when we were taking a shower we were left with a piece in our hands and my husband had to fix it so we could take a shower. The mattresses were without a cover, the bottom sheet and the mattress were super dirty, with stains, disgusting. The kitchen furniture didn't fit well. To top it all off, the cleaner came in on the last day and opened the door with her key without ringing the bell, a lack of respect. When I report all this to the central office, they apologize and tell me that they will pay me 50 euros. In fact, they did pay it, but I didn't pay for what I found, which doesn't seem like a solution to me. They charged me 70 euros a night and the apartment isn't even worth 30 euros. Be careful if you go because I'll tell you what you're going to find."

"The apartment location is probably the best we've ever had, offering amazing sea views. We had a quiet double bedroom which is more than adequate with safe in the wardrobe. The shower room was also adequate. The living area/ kitchen is big, leading onto a large balcony with an amazing sea view. Lovely furniture in a clean environment, it's ideal for a relaxing holiday. The sitting room also had a sofa bed. We will definitely be coming back here. Thanks to the lovely staff for make our stay so good."
