The morning meal starts at 8 AM, so even if you arrive on the island early in the morning by an overnight ferry the day before, you can still have breakfast relatively early. I stayed in a dormitory, and the mattress was so incredibly plush that I slept unbelievably well. Highly recommended!"

Our room was spacious, clean, and very well equipped. The beds deserve special mention—the mattresses were excellent and made for a very comfortable night’s sleep. What truly makes this place special, however, is the host. Suhuku turns a simple stay into a real experience. From the warm and refreshing welcome drink to her thoughtful advice on planning our volcano hikes, she made us feel immediately at home. The real highlight was Suhuku’s taxi service. She not only drives you, she creates an experience: taking us to the trailhead for our hike, picking us up at the onsen afterward, bringing us to a neighboring village for dinner, and even collecting us after the restaurant—all along beautiful panoramic routes. There is no rushing—she clearly takes pride in showing the beauty of the island. Another unforgettable moment was breakfast, where we enjoyed a spectacular view of Mount Fuji—simply breathtaking and the perfect way to start the day.
