"What a gem of a place, bungalows set on stilts in the jungle what more would you want. The bungalows were really lovely with beautiful surrounding trees and lovely flowers. Very comfortable bed, good shower clean towels everyday and water supplied in glass bottles as this is an eco friendly place with NO plastic. Plenty of choices for breakfast and dinner in the evening and food really lovely. Sitting in the restaurant listening to the sounds of the jungle what more would you want. The staff are so helpful and always smiling. If you fancy going for a walk through the gardens you will come to the river and if you want you can paddle of swim. You can get a trip on a canoe just ask at reception. Of course this is the place to come to to explore Cheow Lan lake a must. A boat will glide you through the blue lake where the most fabulous cliffs tower up I thought I had visited Jurassic Park. Would I stay again yes yes yes."

The Camper Lodge, Khao Sok

"We stayed in a private cabin at The Camper Lodge in Khao Sok, and overall it was a memorable experience in an absolutely breathtaking setting. The location is incredible — surrounded by lush rainforest and dramatic limestone cliffs, it truly feels like you’re immersed in nature. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle was such a special experience. Our cabin was clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited to the environment — simple but cosy, and ideal for a nature escape. The food at the lodge itself was very nice — fresh, flavourful, and generous in portion size. After a day exploring, it was lovely to come back and enjoy a good meal in such peaceful surroundings. We also booked the elephant experience, which was genuinely amazing and unforgettable. However, we do feel the reception staff could have been more informative when explaining excursions. We weren’t advised to bring swimwear or clothes suitable for getting muddy, so we wore regular outfits that ended up completely covered in mud and unfortunately ruined. A bit more guidance beforehand would have made a big difference. Additionally, we did the overnight stay at Cheow Lan Lake. The scenery there is absolutely spectacular and staying overnight on the lake is an incredible experience in itself. However, we felt it was slightly let down by the overhyped “safari,” which in reality was more of a short walk through some trees rather than the wildlife experience we were expecting. The food during the overnight stay was also very disappointing — extremely limited choice and unfortunately not very enjoyable. Despite these points, the natural beauty of Khao Sok is undeniable, and The Camper Lodge provides a peaceful and scenic base to explore it from. With clearer communication about excursions and some improvements to the overnight lake experience, this could easily be exceptional. A beautiful setting and a unique stay overall — just worth asking detailed questions before booking excursions so you know exactly what to expect. 🌿"

Lost Horizon Resort - Khao Sok

"We had a really great stay at Lost Horizon Resort and would happily recommend it to others. Overall, we were very satisfied. The resort is new, beautiful, and well-maintained, and everything was clean throughout our stay. The pool area is especially lovely and a perfect place to relax. The staff were consistently very friendly and welcoming. The food deserves special mention. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection, and both the restaurant and bar served high-quality food and drinks throughout our stay. That said, the restaurant service could be improved. The waiters were generally friendly but often seemed a bit confused and made several mistakes with orders. Fortunately, the quality of the food more than made up for it. We also joined two excursions arranged during our stay. We were lucky to have Nong as our guide on one of them—she was absolutely fantastic and made the experience truly memorable. On our trip to Cheow Lan Lake, however, we had a guide who was quite disengaged and seemed uninterested in the group. There was very little communication, minimal effort to share information, and overall it felt like the guide was just going through the motions rather than trying to create a good experience. It was honestly disappointing, especially in such a beautiful setting where a good guide makes a big difference. Fortunately, we were able to switch to Nong, who completely turned the day around with her enthusiasm, knowledge, and warmth. A big thank you to her! All in all, a wonderful stay with just a few minor areas for improvement."
