"Hotel in excellent city location. Nice but a bit tired room, lacking in some amenities (eg some amenities not replenished daily). Regarding room amenities fridge not working. Good breakfast."

"I was a little disappointed that this is not, in fact, a hotel. I think I might have been the only person staying there, I didn't see anyone else except for about 2 seconds in the breakfast room. The only contact I had was by email, and all the instructions were only sent the morning I was traveling, so I didn't receive them until I got to Pico. The room was comfortable enough and very clean. But lots of things are dated. The internet was non-existent. The air conditioner and bathroom fan were both ancient and made a lot of noise. The breakfast was only meh, but the view from the breakfast room was lovely. The location is good, close to town and in a quiet area. I didn't spend much time at the hotel and it was too cold for a swim, but I imagine that would be great when the weather is warmer as the pool also has an amazing view. It's worth it for the price."

Alma do Pico - Nature Residence

"A lovely oasis on the outskirts of Madalena, Alma do Pico offers relaxing "duplex" studios in a wooded enclave with pool and on-premises restaurant. Each unit includes a small kitchen and an outdoor patio for enjoying the morning breakfast basket. Given the location, a rental car is handy for getting around the vicinity and exploring the island."

"Begreppet och platsen, är trevliga, en lägenhet med någon utrustning, men som inte ger att göra mycket utvecklade måltider. Personalen är trevlig och bekväm, men saknar någon professionellhet. Baden som kunde vara en mer värdefull, var en besvikelse, eftersom utöver liten, vatten inte var ordentligt behandlat, inte kunde användas. I varje lägenhet kunde man tillhandahålla regnhår, för när tiden förändras plötsligt. Frukost är svagt eftersom det är lite variation och människor med vissa livsmedelsrestriktioner som gluten har inga alternativ. Slutligen parkeringsmöjligheter och närhet till Lajes do Pico. Pris/kvalitet, tvivelaktig."

"Bioth of us were bitten all over from bedbugs- huge red itchy bumps!! Obviously the hotel staff knew they had an infestation as they came with alcohol to disenfect straight away. ‘Thats what we always do’ they said also did they confirm that its bed bugs. Stay away!!!!!!!"

"På lördag eftermiddagen på en terrass i Naval Club med vänner, bestämmer jag mig för att stanna på natten men var ska jag sova? En av mina vänner sa mig att ta hand om det och här är en gula bil kommer en timme senare ner ... kom natt så i ett trevligt rum med höga tak som hemma ... ett bra varmt bad eller jag sov sedan pyjamas och säng För en bra fransk film... vakna 6:30 för ett trevligt hav. Jag stannade tre nätter av en gång."
