"Overall, the hotel was a decent stay with a few drawbacks. It’s about a 12-minute walk from the train station, which is convenient, although the building looks a bit shady from the outside. Inside, however, it’s very clean, the rooms are brand new as well. We arrived at 1am and found it closed, so we had to call to check in, which was a bit inconvenient. The biggest downside was the noise, there were firecrackers and fireworks going off until 5am (likely due to New Year’s Eve), making it hard to sleep. Also, the room only had one towel for two people. Overall, clean and modern, but with some inconveniences."

"Meizhou International Hotel is the best on the island. It's really upscale and luxurious. Sitting by the window, watching the sea, and enjoying tea and conversation is incredibly relaxing. The central location is perfect, especially for older guests, allowing them to easily explore the north side one day and the south side the next. Taxis are quite accessible on the island, but if you prefer not to take one, the bus stop is conveniently right next door. The location is truly excellent."

"To better experience the scenery on the southern side of Meizhou Island, we chose the Seaview Grand Hotel for our second stop, which seems to be the largest hotel in the south. The southern part of Meizhou Island is different from the north; it's quieter and less commercialized. There are slightly fewer open-air food stalls, but there's a snack street nearby. The hotel has its own swimming pool, and right outside is a beach, which is very convenient! We only stayed here for one night and then it was time to leave, so we didn't get to fully enjoy the relaxation and leisure. As we were leaving, a family member remarked, 'This hotel is better than that one (referring to a hotel in the north) 😄'"

"This hotel deserves a shout-out! It's absolutely fantastic! Affordable price! Great service! Great environment! The breakfast is decent too. First of all, I carefully considered this hotel before booking, comparing it with other accommodations on Meizhou Island, and it truly didn't disappoint. Just like the pictures, no deception! What you see in the photos is what you get, you can really trust us. The breakfast is also very good. For the price of the accommodation, the variety of breakfast options is truly excellent. There are hot dishes, especially shrimp – isn't that great value? There are also local specialties, which are really good. There's a wide variety of porridge, freshly squeezed juice, various teas, coffee, cakes, and fruits – really great, clean and hygienic. The room provides disposable slippers, which are of good quality, as well as disposable toiletries and water. There's a sofa, a tea table, and tea sets; those who prefer more can bring their own water cups. Even the lobby has various water options. Highly recommended!"

"The room was spacious, bright, and clean, making for a very pleasant stay. Upon checking in, I was delighted to find a small plate of Mazu cakes thoughtfully prepared in the room. The owners, a wonderful couple, truly made us feel at home. When we arrived in the afternoon, the owner personally picked us up from the pier and also drove us back when we departed. The proprietress was incredibly kind and gentle; she enthusiastically helped us book tickets for the 'Impressions of Mazu' show that evening and even managed to upgrade our seats. Later that night, I caught a chill and had an upset stomach. The proprietress, with such warmth, personally brought her hot water bottle to my room. On our departure day, heavy fog caused the ferry service to be suspended. We rebooked high-speed rail tickets for the afternoon, and the proprietress kindly arranged a late check-out for us. Their hospitality was truly warm and thoughtful. The only thing I wasn't used to was finding disposable towels and bath towels in the room. I ended up buying my own towels from a supermarket. Perhaps the owner considered personal hygiene, or maybe it's because of the island's humid air making it difficult for towels to dry. However, I still hope they wouldn't use disposables. After all, they're not cotton and aren't comfortable to use. Overall, it was a great stay. Thumbs up!"

"This hotel was recently renovated this year. The room was spacious and clean with no unpleasant odors. All the amenities inside were brand new and excellent. There's parking available right outside. While the hotel doesn't offer breakfast, there are plenty of small eateries right downstairs on the street, one after another. The front desk staff were all enthusiastic and always ready to help. It's a hotel with great value for money, highly recommended!"

"The B&B has a good location, not far from the pier and Mazu Temple. The boss drives to the pier for free, which is very convenient. The decoration of the room is the style I like, it feels like home. The beds are clean and hygienic, the facilities in the house are complete, and disposable toilet seats are thoughtfully provided. Not far from home is the seaside. Rent an electric bike and ride along the seaside. The scenery along the way is stunning! I had a great time in Meizhou Island and will come again if I have the chance!"
