Travelodge Hotel - Ramsgate Seafront ★★★

"I stayed in this hotel during a heatwave in 2026. The hotel was extremely hot with my room (on the third floor) almost unbearable as it had no air-conditioning. The staff did provide a fan which was on when I checked-in but the window only opened a fraction providing virtually no fresh air. So, I wouldn't recommend staying here in the summer if you want to get a good night's sleep - I didn't. I understand from the manager that the ground floor rooms are air-conditioned as the windows do not open so perhaps these are fine to stay in during the summer as is the hotel in colder months I'm sure. Location-wise, the hotel is perfectly placed, however. I just wish Travelodge as a company would invest in making its rooms an acceptable quality all year round."

"We were very pleased with our room ( number 7) on the top floor. It had a large very comfortable bed and the shower was powerful. We liked the view over the roof tops. The stairs are narrow though so not easily accessible to infirm guests. The continental breakfast was adequate and included in the price. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Parking behind the hotel was great when we eventually found it!!"

"A Hotel that we have often dismissed purely on the outward appearance …but my husband booked a 2 night stay for my birthday and we thought the location was excellent and the terrace for the excellent breakfast was an ideal place to watch the sea and tidal bird activity. My one gripe would be the constant dogs barking in the nearby houses…yes we had our windows open because of the heat but we would remind folk that a good night’s sleep is not possible with constant barking …for that reason we would not return."

"Beware Arrived at the hotel at 8 pm expecting the advertised amenities. Only saw one member of staff who had to ring someone to find out if there was any breakfast available. There was no breakfast service at all even though this was advertised. I asked if we might use the lounge and bar only to be told this was not open as it was winter and too quiet to open. So there was nowhere to sit or have a beverage. Phoned the manager as by this time there was no member of staff to talk to and he suggested we try the pub around the corner and couldn't understand why we were disappointed that none of the facilities were operational. Left at 7.30am next morning to try and find something to eat and drink for breakfast. This is not what I expect when I book a hotel advertised as having a breakfast service and bar/lounge."
