"Heavy delusion This hotel can boast an excellent location, in front of the beautiful English Channel sea, with the beach just across the street. It has a lovely patio with tables, where to rest and have food and drinks. The service is quite basic and informal: bare tables, no table cloths, self serving with cutlery, plastic glasses. Food is average, but enjoyable. The staff is very young, some of them kind and helpful, some others nearly bothered by the inconvenience And now, down to the substantial issues: the place is an absolute pigsty. We had two standard rooms, a double and a twin, very compact and basic, with not even a table and a chair. My room overstending the kitchen, with complementary smells and noises, my friend’s overlooking the wall of the mountain above head, which made the room as dark as being in a cave. The rooms are extremely run-down and poorly maintained. The furniture and décor are outdated, and it is evident that little or no maintenance have been carried out for many years. The walls and ceiling are as this as paper, so that you hear every noise from above and nearby rooms Yet, what was very upsetting (and disgusting) was the unacceptable state of cleanliness of both rooms and of the entire hotel. A noticeable build-up of dirt and grime everywhere, it is evident that the place, and the rooms, haven’t been deep-cleaned in years. The first day, the housekeeping was not performed, so I asked whether it was included in the rate. They told me that for reason of hygiene, they don’t do housekeeping after the check in, unless required by the guest. Although I don’t understand this reason, as a matter of fact, no one informed us about this rule at the check in. However, on the third day the housekeeping was provided, on my request. Which means that the staff put new towels, emptied the bins, put clean cups, but didn’t remove the used towels and shower mat (they were left on the bathroom floor as they were), they didn’t even remake the bed and apparently didn’t made up the room properly. Last but not least, that same evening of the third and our last day, no hot water came from either the shower or the tap. We informed the staff the following morning, but they didn’t bat an eyelid. I would have expected at least a little reduction of the rate, given the discomfort caused by that inconvenience . Overall a very negative experience. I definitely suggest avoiding this hotel. It is absolutely overpriced for the level of comfort and maintenance provided. There are many better places. It’s preferable to spend a little more and have a cosy place, than this dump."

"Can highly recommend this bed and breakfast. Christine is a lovely host, friendly and helpful. The room and en-suite was nicely furnished, very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities with a small fridge and on arrival 2 pieces of homemade cake, a lovely touch. The breakfast choice was extensive and all beautifully cooked and presented. The homemade bread was a bonus ! Well situated for short walk to beach or town. Highly recommend. Thank you Ian and Shelagh"

"Vi stannade på Stonehedge Bed and Breakfast i Richmond, BC både före och efter vår Alaska kryssning.Värdarna var välkomnande, vänliga och såg till vårt behov.Backgården var en vacker plats för avkoppling vid poolen. Snacks och drycker tillhandahölls tillsammans med en utmärkt frukost! Även om vi inte kunde njuta av frukost på grund av vår flygresa, tillhandahöll värdlandet en "ta bort" frukost med muffins och frukt.Så tänksamt.Vi rekommenderar starkt att stanna i denna säng och frukost!"
