The rooms are clean, spacious, and equipped with disposable toiletries. It's quiet at night, with no noise, and there's a self-service laundry room and a refrigerator – very thoughtful touches. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful, assisting with my luggage and providing detailed travel information. It's a great value hotel, a true gem, and I'll definitely stay here again."

"I couldn't help but take photos the day I checked in, thinking I must leave a good review: Wen Du Yuan – the 'warmth' really comes through in the details. Things like the clothes drying rack near the air conditioner vent, the laundry room on each floor (with hand-washing sinks and dryers), small meeting rooms, and a shared kitchen (not heavily used, but definitely convenient for those with babies). The bathroom fixtures are quite smart, and the direct drinking water and ice maker are big pluses! 👍🏻 I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Shaoxing. Oh, and the breakfast has a great variety and everything tastes good; the congee was clearly made with care. The chef was very enthusiastic, hats off to them! Just a small suggestion: the gym is missing some heavier dumbbells. Could you add options like 15-15.25-15.75-20 (kg) for guests who need them? (Awaiting your feedback). Thank you for your excellent service!"

"This is one of the better hotels in Shaoxing, with excellent facilities across the board. Its biggest advantage is its proximity to Lu Xun's Former Residence and Shen Garden – it's literally at the best and closest spot right at the entrance of the scenic area, and also close to the subway. Regarding the accommodation, we booked a garden view courtyard room on the first floor. It was very convenient, saving us from constantly taking the elevator. There were a few more mosquitoes and it was a bit humid, but thankfully, we had two sunny days during our stay. Upon arrival, we noticed the bathroom sink was clogged, but the hotel promptly cleared it after we notified them, which was great. Now, about the restaurant. The menu wasn't extensive, but we tried some famous local dishes like Shaoxing Sanxian, Dongpo Pork, Stinky Tofu, and Drunken Fish. The dining service here is quite different from what you'd find in southern Guangdong. We weren't offered tea after sitting down; when we asked about it, the waiter just brought three bowls for tea. There were no napkins either. Basically, they don't offer anything unless you ask. After dinner, when we requested toothpicks, they pulled out a handful of loose ones and gave us one or two. It's hard to associate this kind of service with a five-star hotel. Perhaps for a second-tier city, this is as good as it gets, so one shouldn't expect too much!"

"I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel, and I'd definitely choose it again if I come back. I usually stay at chain hotels, but all the nearby Hantings, Orange Hotels, and Atours were either too old or had too many negative reviews. I tried this one for a night and immediately extended my stay for another four or five days. Pros: The facilities are new and complete, hygiene standards are met, the service is warm and well-trained, and the location is convenient. Although the bed is quite close to the door and you can hear people talking in the corridor, luckily it was off-season so it wasn't too crowded or noisy. I could tell the hotel had already addressed soundproofing issues; the door is quite thick and heavy. I'd recommend choosing a room on a higher floor, on the inner side, not an end room, for a great experience. They also offer welcome fruit daily (though it wasn't always fresh one day), and I received a welcome gift on the first day. Cangqiao Zhijie street is just a 5-minute walk away, and within 2km there are shopping malls and the Lu Xun Native Place scenic area. Food delivery is plentiful and fast, and almost every time, the robot delivered my order right after it arrived. The service attitude is excellent; much better trained than many newly opened hotels. The staff are enthusiastic and proactive, and any issues communicated via WeChat were resolved immediately. I was really impressed with the cleanliness; in all these days, I didn't find any bugs except for one fly. Cons: The overhead shower in the bathroom had a slightly chaotic spray, splashing everywhere, and it was directly facing the door crack, so the floor outside would get wet every time I showered. On the last day, the air conditioner's warm air had a slight odor. It would be helpful if there were 'Do Not Disturb' or 'Make Up Room' signs to hang on the doorknob (I didn't see any electronic ones). This way, the hotel would know guest preferences without prior communication, and housekeepers wouldn't need to knock to ask if a room didn't need cleaning. The cleaning staff, however, were still very responsible."
