"Vi hade en absolut perfekt vistelse på Magnes Hotel!Allt var ospottligt och väl vårdnad, men det som verkligen gjorde vår semester exceptionell var det otroliga teamet. Tack så mycket till all personal för deras vänlighet, professionalism och ständig uppmärksamhet.Särskilt tack till Dimitri, chefen, som alltid var tillgänglig för att besvara någon av våra krav – och gick över och över varje gång. Georgien vid receptionen, tillsammans med alla sina kolleger, välkomnade oss med oändlig vänlighet och hjälpte oss med alla detaljer om vår vistelse. Serverna var lika underbara, som kombinerade sällsynt professionalism med äkta värme, som alltid hälsade oss med ett leende och ett snällt ord.Tack vare deras engagemang kunde vi njuta av vår semester och organisera allt utan sömn. "Clean and quiet room and friendly staff. However disappointed by the closed pool and SPA/Massage facilities and personnel. Only one person for massage and therefore full and they couldn’t arrange time for me and my wife to get it at least consequently. On the other hand I was unlucky because that week, sea was forbidden due to pollution from dead fishes. So I can’t comment on sea in front of the hotel."

The location is ideal, close to the city center, allowing you to explore beautiful Volos on foot. Parking can be arranged 100m from the property. The staff is incredibly kind and available 24/7. "We had the friendliest welcome of all our stays this trip. We are on a ladies motorbike tour of Greece so a warm welcome and immediate space made available for our bikes right outside the hotel was hugely appreciated. The rooms exceeded all expectation with thoughtful touches like a separate makeup face towel and toiletries which were lovely. Fluffy dressing gowns and slippers made it feel much more luxurious than the stars and price would suggest and the bed was the most comfortable of the whole trip for me. Air con worked perfectly so I got the best night sleep also and woke to an outstanding breakfast! Highly recommended and we’re very likely to stop off again on the way back through."

"An amazing hotel right in the heart of Makrinitsa! Perfectly located on the central square, it offers wonderful views and easy access to everything. The rooms are beautifully decorated, spotless, and I especially loved the warm, thoughtful lighting. Breakfast and the restaurant area were spacious and inviting, with a great selection of food. The service was excellent — the owners were kind, welcoming, and eager to share tips about Makrinitsa. I also have to mention the bar: the quality and variety of the drinks were impressive, and I had the best hot chocolate I’ve tasted in years! A truly charming stay — highly recommended."

"Overall, our stay there was awesome, it should probably be a 5-star hotel. The cleanliness, personal friendliness and openness, the services and breakfast were great, everything is luxury there, however, we made a huge mistake when booking the hotel New Year's Eve dinner, which was so expensive (125 eur for 2 people), only food included (which was not good at all) and a dj mixing most of the time oldies (even though I personally like old music, for this time of the year, it's not suitable). The beverages you wanted (no matter which type) was outside the offer, so you have to pay it separately, besides what it was already paid for that dinner, which was served in the breakfast area (no space to move around, dance, etc.). I highly recommend this place for vacation but unless there are better prices / offers for this type of events (e.g., the New Year's Eve), please do not waste your money on that."

"The hotel does not quite live up to 5-star standards, although it has a few positive aspects. The room was large and spacious, but poorly ventilated, with signs of dampness – which can be an issue, especially for guests with mold allergies. In the bathroom, several details required attention: the sink faucet was broken, the bathtub had no plug, the jacuzzi system was out of service, there was no shower curtain (making showers uncomfortable and slippery), and the entrance door was damaged. Additionally, the cabinet housing the fridge was swollen from moisture. Regarding general facilities, the absence of a terrace or balcony was a drawback. The air conditioning in the hallways was not working, and there was a persistent smell of fried food from the kitchen, combined with stained carpets in the corridors, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. At night, the noise from the air conditioning compressors was disturbing. As for the beach, I did not ask or check about its location, but the photos might give the impression that the hotel is right next to it – which is not the case. Breakfast was generous, though not very varied. Overall, the experience felt closer to a 3-star stay rather than a 5-star one."
