I själva verket är mer en B&B än hotellet. Frukost är bra. Badrummet är kallt och begränsat öppet. Sauna måste boka och betala extra. Använd badjackor också betala extra. Människor är trevliga men ofta finns det ingen som kan be dig något, det kände mig inte gästfri."

"Our stay at the hotel Astenturm did not meet our expectations. Two days before arrival we received a message that check-in at the Dorint Hotel in Winterberg was made. Hotel is about 4 km from the Astenturm. At the arrival at the Astenturm there was no staff member who was powerful in the German language. On the question of the park card it was just called it to stop. The way to the room was described only with rooms there. Room was not cleaned every day so there were no fresh towels. Furthermore, the ties of the predecessor were still in the bathroom waste shop. Reclamation at the reception was not understood due to lack of German knowledge. I called it colleagues. Today's departure day there was no breakfast as it's rest day. Therefore, we saved the lacking breakfast. On the other days, breakfast was a conception. 2 years ago we were enthusiastic with hotel and breakfast. The choice of the so-called breakfast buffet corresponded to a 1 star hotel. For the missed breakfast we ask for a refund of €18"

"Dear Sir/Madam, We made a booking via *********** at this hotel for the period from February 14 to February 18, 2026, for my daughter's 7th birthday. However, unfortunately, due to an accident, I suffered a severe herniated disc in my back, which forced me to cancel this reservation. Through the BOOKING app, I can cancel this 'entire booking' for free. But unfortunately, they are only refunding me 10% of the total amount. This is despite the fact that I was more than 28 days before arrival, and even though it was clearly stated that cancellation was free. We contacted ***********, and they did nothing. We contacted Der Schöne Asten, and they showed no understanding whatsoever. This is a serious breach of misleading information and communication!! To anyone I can recommend, do not book at this hotel. They are first-class scammers."

"Vi hade en riktigt vacker vistelse på Winterberg Resort och kommer säkert gärna tillbaka! Platsen är helt enkelt drömvärd – direkt i naturen och perfekt för att stänga av. Särskilt glada för frukost. Valet var ovanligt stort och högt, även av avocado fanns det – något som man sällan hittar på hotell. Även grillbar på kvällen var en riktigt hög. Det fanns otroligt mycket val och allt var mycket smakfullt. Vi vill särskilt betona all personal. Alla var otroligt vänliga, hjärtliga och hjälpsamma. Man har känt sig välkomna från första ögonblicket. Hotellet är också mycket barn- och hundvänligt. Det finns ett vackert barnrum och ett separat lockrum, vilket är verkligen bra för familjer. Vår hund var också varmt välkomna – i rummet var redan en drink och en leckerlis. En annan vacker detalj var att en stor TV-apparat för fotbollsmatchen var inställd för att kunna följa spelen tillsammans. Dessutom har vi använt det nya massage erbjudandet som har avrundat vår vistelse perfekt. En totalt sett lyckad vistelse. Absolut rekommendation för familjer, par och hundägare. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka!"
