We had an excellent experience here! The location is great, close to restaurants, supermarkets, and Dafo Temple. The non-smoking room truly had no cigarette smell and was clean. The shared bathrooms were also clean (the staff cleans them several times a day). Upon checking in, they sent us files with tips, recommendations, and information about the tours they organize (it's possible to book round-trip transportation to Danxia in the afternoon for 40¥). The hostel staff were very kind and helpful. We felt welcomed and well taken care of here. The only area for improvement would be the Wi-Fi quality, which was slow in the evenings, but this was minor compared to all the other positive aspects. We would certainly return on a future trip to Zhangye!

I booked a bed in the female dormitory for 2 nights, my friends booked other beds/rooms. The hostel has all the necessary amenities. There is even a washing machine if you need to do laundry. The bedding was fresh and clean. Plenty of sockets for charging devices. You will need to bring your own shower gel for the shower and the toilets are squat toilets which is standard in China. Met a lovely German girl while staying here. The host is a lovely and very helpful woman, she assisted us with any queries and even gave us some watermelon while we waited for our driver. If you want to visit any of the popular tourist spots in the Zhangye area she can organise a car tour for you and very reasonable prices- all very easy through WeChat. I visited the rainbow mountains/Zhangye National Geopark/Zhangye Danxia Geopark (张掖国家地质公园) and Mati Si temple (马蹄寺) while in Zhangye. The hostel is in a very good location too. The common area is nice and there is a tea station where you can help yourself to a cup of tea. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would stay here again.

和家人來嘉峪關旅遊，下了火車站附近的一家酒店，令人沒想到的是房間價格優惠酒店還配備電梯，酒店旁邊吃飯的川菜館子特別多，還有烤肉和火鍋店！前台服務及客房打掃也很認真，最重要的一點是酒店每間客房都贈送一次性馬桶墊，方便衞生！總體來説性價比很高，價格也比較合適！

住了一晚，感覺還不錯！想説一下我的想法就是可能是平時住青旅住的艙室的那種，這次睡着感覺有側簾但是兩張床是通鋪感覺無私隱，有點不太適應，希望老闆徵求一下入住人員意見，在兩張床連接處上方加個軌道安個簾子，其他都挺滿意！

Best hotel I’ve stayed in on my trip. The family made me feel so welcome. The room was very comfortable and quiet. Lots of hot water. Food was great. They gave me a bike to cycle to the grasslands and did my washing for free! Also dropped me at the bus station. So kind and lovely. And the owner speaks perfect English.

這家酒店是新開的，朋友無意中在網上搜尋到的，離火車站挺近的，我們就定了，酒店周邊超市，吃飯的地方都比較多，有很多選擇，地理位置也不錯，前台辦理入住的效率特別高，還給送了小禮品，房間大小也合適，床墊舒適，網速特別快，熱水水壓特別哇塞，還是乾濕分離的那種，最關鍵的，還有免費的停車場，從前台，保安，樓層，停車場，所有工作人員都特別熱情，這次入住很不錯，下次在來張掖，首選這家酒店，也會推薦給朋友😊

Great accommodation with super welcoming service. Even though we arrived really early in the morning, they let us get into the room in order to rest. The facilities are in good shape and everything was perfectly clean. Great choice if you're in Dunhuang!

CClaudia PiastraWonderful place and wonderful family! The best accommodation we stayed in in China. Perfect position very close to the monastery. Very clean.
As soon as we arrived we were greeted with a snack of dried dates, bread, butter and tzampa, accompanied by some delicious tea.
We stayed with this family for two days and they always offered us breakfast, the first day with house tea and fresh bread, the second day with coffee and fried bread.
We spent the evening with them and they always kept offering us food and tea, always making us feel welcome.
The house is wonderful, ******* style, wooden, always very clean.
The beds are really comfortable, and they have a warming blanket. Inside our room we also had an electric heater to warm ourselves, which made the room really warm and cosy.
The bathroom has hot water.
You can fill your water bottles from the drinking water containers they have in front of each room.
We always saw them cleaning the common areas.
The owner, his wife and their three children welcomed us warmly like family.
I will recommend them to all my friends.

GGästanvändareThe train station basement had no internet connection so I was not able to get DiDi. Not only did I overpay even after negotiating, but the driver spent the beginning part of the trip texting and I had to swing my arm across him as we were about to rear end another car. 20 minutes later arrival at Maiji Shan park entrance. The friendly owner was already there and immediately helped me with my bags. A few minute drive to the expansive farmhouse. I asked for a bowl of noodles which was hot and delicious provided by a grandmother woman. Chinese farm Breakfast was plentiful. I used the heat as the mountains got cold quickly when the sun dropped. The immaculate room was large with two double beds, a tv and desk. The bathroom had integrated toilet and shower so it is wet. Plenty of hot water tho the turn on was a matter of button pressing. I learned something new! Toiletries and paper towels (another first) were provided. The owner took me to Maiji Shan. Sadly, it was closed; rain had made rocks fall making it dangerous to climb the stairs. Nevertheless, I took some photos. I tried to walk back (beautiful fall day), but the owner met me along the wayThe owner and I communicated via WeChat translator. DIdi was not available and as we started for the train station the bus came behind us. So the owner put me on it and I wrote via the app. The bus drives very slowly but I got to the station to run back and forth with my bags, then going to a different floor to get a paper ticket, then back to the waiting area, thru the gate, up the stairs, and finally to my sleeper car. Outside of asking me for my passport and various tickets about 10 times no personnel was particularly helpful tho I was noisily wheezing. As I was getting off, Another passenger grabbed my bags and ran down the stairs with them and then went back to the train. Probably someone in the medical field! Platform smoking and between cars smoking can affect some people.

住宿在荒野首先是看景色，沙漠山丘景色沒得説，雖然説在山腳下，但還是讓人心曠神怡。
空曠的地方拍照也非常不錯，人家給我們指導了，怎麼拍星空，並且提供了手機支架，太棒了 ps 麪來的一定要問管家或老闆要燭光馬燈（店家會免費提供）拍照氛圍太棒了
餐食方面，我們從店家那裡訂的燒烤，在房間露台吃的（在上面可以坐四個人，超過四個人就得到露台下面的沙地上用餐）

JJessica MellicaTyvärr var min erfarenhet inte bra.Varmt vatten fungerade inte, det var bara varmt.Jag gjorde det i eftermiddag ändå, men en ny pojkvän väntade till klockan elva.
Vi fick alltid ringa någon att öppna vårt rum.
Om vattenproblemet sa de att det fanns ett problem i hela hotellet och de kan fixa det nästa morgon.
Vi kunde inte hitta ett standard Queens sovrum, de har Queens rum bara mycket dyrt och till billigare pris de har bara två rum.
Vi betalade ett fullt belopp för den natt vi stannade, men vi hade inte fullt 100% service vi borde få från bokningen. De föreslår att vi ska byta hotell, men det var så sent och vi reser med cyklar, efter en 150km-resa var vi för trötta att flytta till en annan plats under mörkret vid 10:00.Vi behövde bara en varm dusch och en säng för att sova.
Slutligen fick vi en 100-knig försiktighet tillbaka, och nästa morgon gav damerna oss sex små flaskor vatten att be om ursäkt.
Jag är verkligen upprörd över att ingen råder oss om vattenfrågan under incheckningen, så det fanns fortfarande tid att flytta in i en annan bostad, särskilt för elektronisk nyckel, jag kan inte förstå varför den aldrig har fungerat. Var försiktig med nästa bokning om rum på femte nivå.Jag vet inte om det är ett problem bara för utlänningar eller för alla.Rumsprislistan är mycket dyr, så jag tror inte att de har en dålig service.
Tyvärr är det första gången under mina 32-år som detta hände, särskilt under mina 27-dagar i Kina, all a problem där alltid väl reserverats. Denna gång var min erfarenhet verkligen stressande, jag tycker inte om att rekommendera det och jag hoppas att det aldrig händer igen för andra resenärer.

GGästanvändareOne of the best stays kf my life! Room and breakfast were great, but above all, the owner is one of the greatest i have ever encountered. We had an issue with a bus ticket, so she managed to take the tickest for us, all without commissions. Hope to be back, just Wow!!!

GGästanvändareThis is a very nice hotel right on a pedestrian street lined with food stalls and restaurants. At night mobile food carts get rolled in and positioned along the center of the street adding yet more food choices! In addition to this, just a short walk away is a huge pedestrian shopping street along with an underground shopping complex accessed through street level escallators.
Although the hotel is on a pedestrian street it is really just about 3/4 block from a street with vehicle access. This hotel is a bit difficult to find though, because individual street address numbers are difficult to find. The best thing is to look for a huge Hanting Hotel logo on the right side of the pedestrian street as you head up from the traffic street along the river. The sign is blue with a white horse! The entrance to the hotel itself looks more as if you are entering a coffee shop because of the street entrance signage. But power past all the tables for people having coffee, and you can find the hotel front desk at the back.
As mentioned before, the hotel is quite close to the Yellow River and just a short walk to the ”Iron Bridge” (AKA Zhongshan Bridge) and all that neighborhood offers!
One drawback to the hotel is that to get into the entrance there are some narrow steps. Level entrances are always best!
Yet, I would definitely stay in this hotel again! (And when you are in Lanzhou, be sure to try Lanzhou Beef Noodles!)

TTohnetEn bekväm plats som stannade här i Homestay, och vi kom mycket tidigt på morgonen.Ägaren var mycket villig att ta emot oss, och få oss in i vårt rum.
Efter en tid med tågresa från Zhangye till Dunhuang var det verkligen en välkommen komfort att vara i Homestay. Vi tog familjens rum med gård och boendet kommer tillsammans med två sovrum för barnen, och en gardin med utrymme/rum för oss, föräldrarna.Det är stort nog och bekvämt för oss fyra.
Den andra plus saken om Homestay är att det är mycket nära Mingshan Mountain & Crescent Lake Park - bara en promenad; biljetterna tillåter dig flera inresor till Park inom 03 dagar och Homestay är nära - du kan faktiskt gå in Parken på olika dagar inom den 03-dagars grace period
Vi var lyckliga att vi kom under toppen, så Park och Homestay var inte fulla alls.Vill vi komma och stanna igen i Homestay?Ja, för vi älskar toppen tyst och privat tid här.Vill vi rekommendera andra att stanna här? För topptid säger vi säkert också ett lyhört JA!!
Du kan plocka jujube frukterna (kinesiska äpplen) och päron på gården - det ger en känsla av ditt eget rustika hem, borta från buller och folkmassan i närheten av Mingshan Mountain & växande sjöpark.
