The Carlyon Bay Hotel ligger inbäddat bland de karga klipporna i St. Austell Bay och har ett lyxigt spa, en prisbelönt restaurang och en golfbana. Hotellet erbjuder även panoramautsikt och 4-stjärnigt boende.

The hotel itself was a great experience and we did enjoy the novelty of staying in the prison which I would recommend to anyone.
Upon arrival we were welcome by the team but very basic information was given, leading to us missing a tour of the hotel which we were told was included in the price. The manager then offered for one of the team to do a later tour for just the two of us which was cut short, very awkward and definitely not worth the money paid for. If we had been advised of the tour with the bigger group when checking in we may have had a better experience.
We decided to book dinner at the chapel to experience it as much as we could but dinner was poor. We had to wait for our table, 3 different people asked for our name before we sat down and then again a fourth person checked once we were sat down. With minimal staff on the service was poor to say the least and The burger ordered was pretty much raw, I did not finish it. Once we had finished no one came to ask if we wanted anything else or to look at a dessert menu. We left the restaurant with no one even there working! Not sure where the team had disappeared to.
Breakfast was good and would recommend it.

En blandad upplevelse.Vi bokade för poolens anläggningar, som var fantastiska.Vi åt i restaurangen på vår första kväll.Utmärkt mat och mycket bra service.Frukost var också bra.Några men ändå. Vårt rum hade en mycket obekväm säng, en konstig elektrisk ljusshow från vissa enheter i taket när vi släckte ljusen och en upprepad elektrisk buzzljud hela natten som störde vår sömn.personalen flyttade oss till mycket mer Det bekväma rummet på den andra natten.Golvet uppe var så gulligt att det kändes som hotellet måste ha den underliggande strukturen av en rökelse prefab.- mycket konstigt och lite olägenhet. Och restaurangen hade ingen karaktär alls.En nästan steril känsla.Allt lite konstigt.Medan poolen, mat och service verkligen var bra, och de många golfare som besökte var tydligen glada, behöver några av utrymmen en renovering och en omtanke.

Amazing little hotel few mins walk from train station and short walk into Newquay town, close to all amenities; friendly front desk staff easy quick check in process and helpful with our luggage! Bougie chic room and the decorative style of hotel was very chic and upmarket would definitely recommend 💯

Hotel is good, spa had disturbance for a private class almost for an hour with loud music. Guests should be informed in advance about such activities and we could have choose some other hotel, jacuzzi temperature is not warm. YouTube on the TV doesn’t work.
Sure the one in the pool classes were non-residents of the hotel and steam, sauna was almost full and couldn’t be used much. Disappointing.

I'm not really sure where to start reviewing the Harbour Hotel in Fowey - part of me doesn't want to publicise how fantastic this place is! We really enjoyed our stay - we really didn't want to leave! The helpful and friendly staff (Karina on our last evening at dinner was particularly brilliant), excellent food (we had a cream tea, breakfasts and dinner) and a superb room with a stunning view over the bay. The hotel's position in Fowey is fantastic - allowing short walks to the centre, the harbour and walks - as well as having those jaw-dropping views from the bar/restaurant. Thank you for your hospitality and we'd love to come back and stay again!

I'd highly recommend this hotel, as it has a gorgeous view and it's in a fabulous location. We were in Falmouth for a work trip - it was lovely and clean, our twin room was spacious, the staff were very accommodating and overall we had a fantastic stay. We will be back!

We stayed at st micheals for our anniversary weekend and loved it! We stayed in the delux king and it was a beautiful room with lots of space. The breakfast was a lovely cooked breakfast with lots of options of fruits and waffles, beautiful view too! The health spa was our favourite part which was included with the stay, great pool and sauna and gym (:

Incredible views from the room! Spa was lovely and we enjoyed a few drinks at the beautiful bar all decorated for Christmas (: recommend the Cornish cream tea!

OOlly reviewsKing Arthur’s Arms is fabulously located next to a huge car park, yet on Fore Street, which is the Main Street running through Tintagel and about 3 minutes walk to the top of the hill leading down to English Heritage’s Tintagel Castle. On arrival we were checked in at the bar by Jess with a very friendly Cornish welcome. The smell of cleanliness emerged us as we walked up to our huge room with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, easy chairs and huge bathroom with double walk in shower, sink, toilet and heated radiator. Huge room for Cornwall and immaculate. We chilled out and wandered along and around Tintagel Castle, then back to the pub for dinner. It’s an extensive menu with huge portions. There was no issue with pub noise and we slept well, waking for an extensive breakfast which commences with a choice of pastries and cereals, then Full English, teas, coffees and juices! We were then able to stay parked for a few hours after check out at 10am to wander around Tintagel.
Really cannot recommend King Arthur’s Arms enough and particularly so to single parents with kids-safe, friendly and accommodating and shout out to Jess for super friendly service throughout!

GGästanvändareHas everything you may need for a night's stay. Bed was comfortable. It wasn't very clean, with cobwebs in every corner of the room and a couple spiders aswell. I had to get rid of a few mosquitos as well. There was dust on light fittings and lamp shades, the bathroomlifght switch didnt look like it had been cleaned. The room had a very noticeable damp smell in the air and there were small spots of what looked like mould, on the bathroom ceiling. The toilet seat was stained a yellow colour 🤢(its only a few quid for a new 1🫤). The carpet hadn't seemed to be hoovered before I arrived as there was some dirt and dead insects lying around. Luckily I didn't have to spend too much time in the room, most of the time I was sleeping, otherwise I would have asked to stay in another room to be very honest. The breakfast was really good though!

It's undoubtedly one of the best options in the area, especially for families with children, who also have a delightful time during their stay. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including a swimming pool, bar, restaurant, and convenient car park, making it a great choice for those driving. Additionally, it's only about a 20-minute drive to Hayle Bay and around 25 minutes to St. Michael's Mount, making it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area. The rooms are impeccably clean and well-maintained, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable stay. I highly recommend The Penventon Park Hotel for anyone visiting the area.

GGästanvändareI can't begin to tell you how great the choice of this hotel was. We booked it as was going the the theatre to see the Luther tribute band who were amazing at the Hall for Cornwall. Under a minute from the hotel.
There was free parking right in the centre of the town which we managed to arrive early and use this facility.
We booked a queen size bed which was huge and very comfortable. The rooms are a tad tired but totally acceptable.
The staff in the bar were lovely and accommodating. This went from day and night staff!
This is the perfect hotel for shopping in Truro too.
Can't wait for our next visit! Fitted in a visit to Truro Cathedral too, truly inspiring!

AAna SakandelidzeAbsolutely loved our stay here! The location is perfect—right by the river and close to beautiful gardens and stunning views. We were pleasantly surprised by the restaurant; the food was incredibly delicious and way beyond our expectations, especially for the price. It felt like a fancy dining experience without the hefty bill.
We had requested a non-carpeted room, and were so happy they accommodated it. The view from our window was just gorgeous. Everything about the place was peaceful, and the facilities were top-notch—jacuzzi, warm indoor pool, saunas, and even options to try golf or tennis.
Overall, such a great experience for the price. We both left feeling relaxed and grateful. Thank you!

GGästanvändareI recently stayed at the County Arm Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The pub downstairs was also a highlight, offering great atmosphere and food.
The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit of a walking distance from the train station. While it should have been very affordable to take a taxi, my driver unfortunately took a detour, increasing the fare unnecessarily.
Despite this small inconvenience, I highly recommend the County Arm Hotel for its excellent service, cleanliness, and charming pub.

GGästanvändareI had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is beautifully located with great views and elegant interiors. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was very good – fresh ingredients, tasty full English options and nicely presented dishes. The avocado toast and classic breakfast plate were both excellent.
Service was friendly and professional throughout my stay. The restaurant area was clean and well-organised.
Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable experience. I’m happy to recommend this place and would stay here again.
