A beautiful guesthouse, the rooms are beautiful too. Bed is big and comfy, very clean and the bathroom is modern despite how traditional the building is. Also has great heating if desired. The family that runs the guesthouse is so so sweet. Their food is also delicious and a great option for a quick breakfast (the buns are to die for). Excellent location. All in all would definitely come back and recommend this place.

這家新開的青旅真的超級超級nice！下面看我娓娓道來
設施：床鋪很大（林林總總住過10餘家青旅，這家親測TOP1️⃣，再也不用擔心睡覺時候把插座打掉了，誰懂這個痛點啊！）、設計超貼心💡，床頭的格子夠高，能隨手放置很多東西
衞生：衞生環境無敵，乾濕分離做的超好，所以清掃工作也很方便就能開展，也不用擔心陰暗的角落！
男女入門就分宿，安全感拉滿，（就像是洗浴中心那種），公共區域超級多的桌椅和酒水，滿足交友的一切願望！
服務：老闆人超級無敵好，你要是感興趣還能讓他教你大同方言！
環境：地理位置步行直達古城🚶，每次回去倒頭就睡，真的超舒服
電器和相關設備堪比五星級。蒸蛋器，微波爐，電吹風，洗衣機…有好多我都是第一次在青旅裏面看到的，真的超級貼心！一定要自己來體驗一下！

Chefen kör för att hämta dig på stationen på kvällen, okej! När vi kom till den antika staden kunde vi inte ta oss in med bil, så vi bytte till små elektriska värdshus ligger i norra delen av den antika staden, nära Ma Family Courtyard, och även nära South Street till fots Gården är en innergård, och rummen är små, men de har allt du behöver. Påslakanen och broschyrerna är rena, det finns också engångs-toalettöverdrag, varmvatten tillförs kontinuerligt, luftkonditionering används för kylning och en 1,5-liters stor flaska vatten finns i rummet. Gården är mycket karakteristisk för den antika staden och kan användas för att ta bilder. Det finns en liten restaurang där du kan äta frukost och middag för att besöka sevärdheter kan du köpa biljetter för din räkning och kontakta oss för transport. Innan jag gick gav chefen mig också specialvinäger, så gott!

還行，酒店所處的位置是個酒店羣裏，一共三層，一層大概5、6個房間，洗漱有熱水，但是沒有飲水機，有電暖壺，要自己燒礦泉水喝（一樓有，房間裏一開始會放兩瓶），空調挺涼快。
廁所是馬桶，太原的公共廁所很難找。
小槽點：三個遙控器衹有一個有電，電視換台的遙控器不能用，不過這個跟前台説應該可以解決。

房間雖小但五臟俱全，衞生很好，熱水和空調也足，位置也特別好，就在三官廟和免費公交站邊上，這個價位性價比非常高，唯一一點美中不足的就是窗户直對着樓梯，窗簾得常拉着，但總體而言無傷大雅

It is a wonderful location which gave us a lot of convenience & time. Especially Mr.Chang who is very helpful.helping us book online 3 tour destinations.he a very humble person. This hotel is very good price and clean, its location is very near to Taiyuan South Railway station. I can easily come to this hotel from Taiyuannan station by taking subway for 1 station to Xutandongjie station (Exit D1), then turn right at the road corner, then walk for 300 meters.
This hotel provides all the necessary facilities (toothbrush, hair dryer, towels, water bottle, and etc. It's very good and convenient to stay in this hotel. The staff are polite and helpful, and I really appreciate their assistance. The bed is also large size and good quality nice to sleep 💤. The shower room and toilet are also very clean. I had a great experience during my 4-day stay. I will come back to stay at this hotel again next time.

GGästanvändareWe stayed at thos lovely hotel. Lovingly restored by the current owner Mr Wang. He is the 6th generation owner of the property.
Until 10 years ago it was a derelict and dilapidated building. He poured money, time, blood, sweat and tears to restore it
And it does feel and look like a traditional house.
You feel you are going back in time.
Firstly the customer service is way beyond the call of duty. Its so good, i would recommend staying with mr Wang at whatever hotel he runs.
He picked us at the Lower East Gate, and brought us to the hotel, then took nearly half an hour to explain in great detail where we need to visit, whether the sights be in the city or outside the city.
Some of his suggestions, not on the tour books were very good . For example he suggested 3 restaurants, and we avoided them thinking he was getting a kickback.on our 4th and last day we tried restaurant no 2 of his. And it was good , the food and service were good. The prices were average with other restaurants and we got a 10% discount being the hotel's guests. And remember we had eaten 10 meals by the time we came to his suggestions.
Another suggestion of Mr Wang was Ma family home - also a very good tip from him.
Everytime we had a request or question he always responded with enthusiasm.
On our last day we checked out at 4am and he still took us to the pick up point at that ungodly hour.
Yep Mr and Mrs Wang's customer service is just first class.
The room was large, queen deluxe double, and the furnishings were traditional chinese furniture made of Rosewood. Very Expensive furniture for a hotel room. Shower worked well and was hot. However be aware its chinese style wet floor system ie there is no shower curtain between the shower and a small part of the bathroom does get wet if youare not careful. MR Wang said it will be one his improvement on his priority list. Hopefully by the time you booked the problem will have been resolved
The hotel is very close to the main streets. About 5 min walk.
The city of pingyao is worth visiting, it is one of the very walled cities left in China, with its old buildings intact and people still living it. All the city walls are also intact. Magnificent at night.

GGästanvändareI was greeted with a fruit platter during check-in, which was a wonderful welcome gesture considering I left my home about 24 hours earlier, traveling non-stop from California to Datong, China. The Inn provides a wonderful experience for the first-time foreign visitor. The interior decor has that Chinese charm consisting of artwork, a book display, an aquarium with an auspicious collection of 8 large fishes (carp, I think), in-room tea set with an on-table electric stove, which would be unique to most Westerners. The glass flooring adds an extraordinary appeal since I have never experienced that in a hotel before, and I have traveled to dozens of countries.
The Inn is well located, a short bus ride to Datong Railway Station (for non-high-speed rail travel)*, and a short taxi ride to Datong South Railway Station (for high-speed rail travel)**. It is just next to Datong City Wall. You can walk along the top of the City Wall at no cost. A 10-20 minute walk takes you to nearly all the attractions within the ancient City Wall. Here you will also find a variety of restaurants serving local food as well as souvenir shops. There is also a small shop that sells sundry items including drinks (beer included) within a 5-minute walk from the Inn. Across from this sundry shop, is a shop that specializes in ancient Chinese clothing (Hanfu dress). They can dress you up, cosmetics included.
The Inn provides directions to Yujian Yun Gang - a popular destination for travelers to Datong. Here you will see ancient Buddhist cave art, including large and tall (several stories tall) sculptures. It takes two bus rides to get there, 1RMB per ride.
My booking choice was for either a guest room on the 1st or 2nd floor but was assigned a wonderful 2nd-floor guest room.
The owners of the Inn were exceptionally friendly. I met both the mother and her daughter. My room was professionally cleaned and provided with drinking bottled water daily.
If I return to Datong in the future, I will certainly book a room at this Inn.
*I took a train from this station to travel south to Xinzhou after checking out.

DDizzerIf you want a more authentic experience than staying in a fancy hotel, this is your place. Mrs Liu (sp?) was so lovely and helpful. She speaks a bit of English and is very fast on the translation apps for what she doesn’t know. She gave us a map of the Ancient City and explained where we should visit. Every day she gave us water bottles. We stayed 2 nights.
You can experience a kang bed here, in a cozy room in a quaint courtyard. It was quite firm but still comfortable. There is air con which was needed when we were there. The bathroom is small but we found that everything didn’t get wet, despite the small size of the room.
The inn is on the “taxi-bus” route just off South Street. As it is a block from the Main Street it is significantly quieter as the honking of “taxi-buses” doesn’t happen as much in the alleyways. Just be careful to walk on the sides of the road as the mopeds and taxi-buses are electric so quiet, except for the honking which is loud and constant, and they drive quite fast for the size and busyness of the streets.
There is plenty of food places just a short walk away from the hotel. The ancient city was a lot more touristy than we had expected.
You need to prearrange with the innkeeper to organise a “taxi-bus” to pick you up from the South Gate. Regular cars are not allowed inside the city wall. We were dropped by the DiDi but it is too far and busy to walk with luggage to the inn. Mrs Liu and her husband helped us out with their mopeds.
Not many “taxi-bus” drivers know the inn as it is a smaller private hotel, so make sure you have the address printed out to show them. The taxi-bus is 10RMB pp per ride and you can flag them down anywhere on the streets they are allowed on, but they may not want to go where you want to go, so just flag another one until you get one that agrees. You scan the drivers QR code to pay.
Overall we enjoyed our stay at Pingyao Yunshu Inn.

JJoyce CPCThis hotel is located in the heart of the ancient city of Datong. Although there were few steps of staircase leading to the entrance of the hotel and the reception was on level 2 and our room type was only available on the 3rd level. Upon check in the hotel staff by the name of Xiao Guo was very helpful and she helped us to carry our luggages to our room at level 3.. There was a small window in our room overseeing the street. The room was spacious and very clean. All corners, fixtures and furnitures in our room were wiped very clean. All amenities were provided inside the room too. The bed mattress and pillow were soft and very comfortable. Body gel, hair shampoo, hair conditioner, hand wash and clothing detergent were all good quality. 2 water bottles, toothbrush, hair comb and slippers were provided in the room. There were space to hang our winter clothing and also washed socks and inner wears. The air-conditioner was superb as it can be adjusted to 4 types of air:normal, wet reduction, cold air and warm air, hence it made our stay more comfortable. There was also an air freshener machine in the room to refresh the air inside the room. So far this is the cleanest hotel room throughout all my China trips. The housekeeper was friendly and ensure the room being cleaned up daily. Overall, I would like to compliment the hotel staff by the name of Xiao Guo for her hospitality and kindness in helping us when we asked her for any information about Datong and places to eat. Xiao Guo always smilling and her warmness has let us felt very welcomed as a hotel guest. Another compliment was to be given to the housekeeper old lady who really did a great job to ensure the cleanliness of our hotel room and the entire hotel public areas. Highly recommended this hotel to all tourist.

GGästanvändare這次平遙之行，非常榮幸選擇了榮耀民宿，雖然在古城外，但出行超方便，步行5-6分鐘就到古城入口，還免去了古城內交通管制的麻煩。房間乾淨又温馨，床品軟乎乎的，晚上一沾枕頭就睡着。民宿老闆是一名二十年的退役老兵，服務超熱情，不僅幫忙規劃路線，還推薦了很多本地人常去的小店，價格非常優惠才幾十塊錢，真的是物超所值。特別推薦大家可以入住體驗

JJames56We had a happy experience checking in at this hotel. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. We loved our room! It was bright and cheerful and spacious. The shower and drainage was very good.
Location is fantastic, near the railway station and many bus services, especially for going to Yungang grottoes. There was a mall, with a hypermarket in the basement and minimarts around.
What we like most was there was a washing machine and dryer for guests to use, free of charge!
If we ever come to Datong again, we would stay here. Highly recommend this place!

The room seems to be in a students accommodation building, the reception was changed to a different floor and was not the easiest to find out. The bed was comfy and the views really cool. I chose the memory foam bed option and it was great, since I wanted good and restful sleep.
The breakfast had a very nice selection, and the dining area was very clean and tidy.
It was fun to have the hotel robot deliver my food delivery orders to me and the extra bonus was that their laundry service was quick and very convenient!
The hotel is very close to the local attractions. When I asked for help about visiting the nearby, Xiantang mountain and an evening walk at Donghu lake was recommended, and did not disappoint! The staff was ready to help and I had unexpected, great service to travel to Xiantang mountain, when I thought I would have to figure it out on my own. 
I’m very happy to review this hotel I would recommend anyone to come here. I would come back again!
(Please note that there is city construction on the road, outside. There were some vibrations, but I barely heard any sound coming from outside, because the windows are good quality that block out most of sound.)
